Hurado Dino Dimar

Ang payo niya para sa inyo, mga Ka-Yapak:

“Ang bawat hakbang ay may patutunguhan. Kaya tuloy lang! ‘Wag susuko, at maaabot mo rin ang mga pangarap mo.”

Dino Dimar is a visual artist, photographer, and a traveler since 2006. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts Major in Advertising from the University of Santo Tomas. He demonstrated his enthusiasm in cave photography when he built his thesis in college that landed him the award “Best Thesis” for photography that year.

His curiosity for indigenous peoples in the Philippines and its different cultures has brought him to different places. He eventually worked as a photographer and designer for the maiden issue of “Travel Time”. This magazine is the brainchild of Philippine travel queen, Ms. Susan Calo-Medina.

His numerous journeys including that of Bontoc, Mountain Province, took unexpected turn in 2014, as the bus he was in fell off a ravine- around 700meters deep. While sustaining several injuries, he also suffered the loss of his closest friends in the tragic event.

A year later, he recovered and officially became part of Black Pencil Project - a non-profit organization that champions children’s education. He hauls school supplies up the mountains and other far flung areas to support their education and their dreams.

As a sign of gratitude for his second life, Dino continues to bring his advocacy through photography assignments around the Philippines. His style has beautifully evolved from photojournalism to commercial photography.

When situation calls for it, Dino will climb mountains for you.
